I gave birth to my son last year and I breastfed for an ENTIRE year! I am in the process of weaning him off of the breast now. I had no idea of what a let down reflect was until I started pumping at work. For the first few weeks of maternity leave, I knew that my breast would tingle but I didn't think anything of it. Just assumed that it was time for the baby to eat. Once I started pumping and I witnessed the let down reflex for myself - I was amazed. In some cases, I was able to put out 1.5 ounces during a pump session (just from a let down). On a good day - I had multiple let downs and walked away with a 10oz session - each time. Mamas get to know your body, pay attention to it and most importantly relax. These are tips that helped me to achieve multiple let downs during a nursing/pumping session
